Logistics – Watch Movements to See What People are Planning

Logistics might be an uninteresting subject, but it is an extremely important one. And if you pay attention to someone/somethings logistical actions you can learn a lot.

If you have participated in, or studied, war you will quickly realize that logistics are the backbone to getting anything accomplished.

One of the missions our infantry unit was frequently tasked with was keeping supply line safe and open.

The US’ success in WWII was much attributed to our logistical system. We would and did win a war of attrition. Of both manpower and supply. Side note we as country at least throught the GWOT won the supply attrition but as a country have no tolerance left for a manpower attrition.

If you have ever participated in a business, and it doesn’t matter which one, you have had logistics become a major factor. Raw materials, manpower, energy, buildings/facilities, roads or routes, and information. All vital to progress.

Prior to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine there was a massive build up of manpower, vehicles, and equipment along the border. This took place months before the invasion. When the invasion finally took place it wasn’t actually shocking pothole who had been paying attention, as the signs where all there.

That all being said, what are some of the things in the news?

  • The US secured Venezuelans oil supply – energy.
  • The US automatically will register people for the draft by the end of 2026 – manpower.
  • The middle eastern oil supply is closed off of destroyed – energy disruption for most the world but the not the US.
  • The US is urging GM and Ford to produce weapons – equipment.

These things need to be in place before you start a conflict, often months or years in advance.

I’m not saying anything is about to happen, but logistics are the signs I look for when experienced countries plan things.

Stay safe out there and don’t dwell on what might or might not happen. Rather focus on Jesus. Having the right relationship with him is the most important thing no matter if the times are good or bad. And he is far more positive than the news anyway.
