The internet seems to have lost its mind over the Department of War buying steak, crab, and lobster. Its a bunch of money. I was kind of surprised by the amount myself. Now I haven’t done the math, nor do I intent to, of how much it was for each service member, it sounds like they got served more than one meal.
For those not in the know, the military would serve you steak and lobster before delivering bad news. Things like your deployment is being extended or you’re getting deployed to some crap hole where some will die. The idea is to boost moral, its the thought that counts right?
Everyone in military knows when they sees that being served in the chowhall, they are about to be F@#Ked and F@#Ked bad. In this case its another middle eastern war, they’ll probably eventually call it WWIII.
If your upset at the cost of a fancy dinner, wait until you see what the war will cost.
